Regarding the temporary closure period scheduled from the end of December 2024 due to facility renovations, we regret to inform you that the closure period has been changed as follows due to construction-related adjustments.

Friday, December 27, 2024 – Friday, February 28, 2025

We appreciate your ongoing interest in our museum.

Considering the heavy rain forecast and cumulative rainfall in the Hiroshima area, as well as the announcement of partial service suspensions by JR West Japan, we have decided to cancel the  Saturday Open Day in December on November 2, prioritizing the safety of our visitors above all else.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our guests who were looking forward to visiting. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.

Please stay safe and take precautions regarding the upcoming weather conditions.

*The "4th Generation Demio 10th Anniversary Event," scheduled for tomorrow, is planned to be held on a different date. We will inform you of the new schedule at a later time, and we appreciate your understanding.

We appreciate your ongoing interest in our museum.

Due to the approaching Typhoon No. 10 near Hiroshima Prefecture and considering the operation status of JR and other transportation services, we have decided to temporarily close the museum on the following dates for the safety of our visitors:

Wednesday, August 28: Open as usual
Thursday, August 29: Closed
Friday, August 30: Closed

Due to the forecasted approach of Typhoon No. 10 near Hiroshima Prefecture, there may be changes to the Mazda Museum's opening schedule on the following dates:

August 27 (Tue): Open
August 28 (Wed): Possible closure
August 29 (Thu): Possible closure
August 30 (Fri): Possible closure

The decision regarding the museum’s opening on and after August 28 (Wed) will be announced on the Mazda Museum website at 1:00 PM on August 27 (Tue).

We will continue to closely monitor the weather forecast and prioritize the safety of our visitors.

Currently, Typhoon No. 10 is approaching the Japanese archipelago, and depending on its path, Hiroshima Prefecture, where the Mazda Museum is located, may be affected on Tuesday, August 27, Wednesday, August 28, or both days.

Therefore, depending on the situation, such as the issuance of weather warnings or the suspension of JR train services, we may have to temporarily close the Mazda Museum on August 27 and 28, prioritizing the safety of our visitors.

We will continue to monitor weather forecasts and other developments closely and will inform you of the decision regarding the museum's operation by 1:00 PM on August 26 via the Mazda Museum's website.

Due to the suspension of JR train services caused by heavy rain in the Mazda Head Office area, the Mazda Museum will be temporarily closed today, July 11th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who had planned to visit the museum.

According to the latest weather forecast and JR train operation schedules, we plan to open tomorrow, July 11th.

However, if there are sudden weather changes resulting in heavy rain reaching the evacuation advisory level, we may need to close the museum unexpectedly.
In such a case, we will inform you via email around 7 AM tomorrow.

July 10, 2024 (Wed.)

Currently, heavy rain is forecasted for the early hours of Thursday, the 11th, in the Mazda headquarters area.
Prioritizing the safety of our visitors in light of possible weather warnings or evacuation advisories, we may temporarily close the Mazda Museum on Thursday, July 11th, depending on the weather conditions.

The decision to close will be made with the safety of our visitors as our top priority, based on weather forecasts and information from authorities.
We will notify you of the decision by email and on the Mazda Museum website today, Wednesday the 10th, around 5:00 PM.

Due to the increased risk of landslides caused by heavy rainfall in Hiroshima City, including the Mazda Head Office area, evacuation information is now published. Heavy rain is forecasted to continue through tonight and into tomorrow morning. Therefore, for the safety of our visitors, the Mazda Museum will remain closed on July 2, following today's closure.

Due to the Heavy Rain Warning in the Mazda Head Office area and public transportation situation, we have decided to close the Mazda Museum today, July 1st, for the safety of our guests.

As announced on December 13, 2023 (Wed.), we have decided to shorten the temporary closing period as follows.
Former closing period: June 21, 2024 (Fri.) - June 28, 2024 (Fri.)

Thank you very much for your interest in visiting the Mazda Museum.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances on our end, we must inform you that the museum will be temporarily closed during the following period:

We plan to reevaluate the period in mid-May 2024 and intend to shorten the temporary closure.

Thank you for your continued patronage of the Mazda Museum.

In order to make your visit to the museum more comfortable, the air conditioning system of the museum will be undergoing repair work.

As a result, during the following period, the air-conditioning system on the first floor of the Museum will be shut down and noise may be generated due to the construction work.

Typhoon No. 6 is currently approaching. As a result, according to the weather forecast, strong winds are expected to blow in the Mazda Head Office area sometime between August 7 and 10, 2023.We place the highest priority on the safety of our visitors, and depending on the path of the typhoon, there is a possibility that the Mazda Museum may be temporarily closed.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who plan to visit the museum, and ask for your understanding and cooperation.

The decision to close the museum will be made based on weather forecasts and information from the government, with the safety of our guests as our top priority.

When the Museum closes, an announcement will be posted on the Mazda Museum website around 12:00 on the previous day.

Due to the heavy rainfall in the Mazda Head Office area, we have been considering whether or not to open the Museum on July 10,
As a result, we have decided to close the Museum on Monday.

According to the recent weather forecast, it may be possible to have a heavy rain in the area where Mazda Museum located in the early morning of July 9th (Sunday).

Consequently, we may temporarily close Mazda Museum on Monday, July 10th, depending on the weather condition, putting first priority to avoid every unsafety situation customer may face on the way to our Museum. We apologize, in advance, for any inconvenience possibly given to those who had planned to visit.

Understanding and cooperation to us would be highly appreciated.

Whether or not we temporarily close our Museum on Monday, July 10ty will be announced around 12:00PM in our official website on Sunday, July 9th, considering then weather forecasts.

However, please not that we may change our decision even after we announce around 12:00PM on July 9th in this website, watching carefully the weather situation after words.

Therefore, you are kindly requested to check the latest information on our website before you visit, as our website will update you. As of 11:00 today, an evacuation order remains in effect for the Mazda Head Office and Mazda Museum locations.As a result, we regret to inform you that today's special opening of the museum on Saturday, July 1, has been cancelled.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and ask for your understanding and cooperation.

June 30, 2023 (Friday)

Heavy rain is expected from June 30 to July 1.
In consideration of your personal safety, we decided to change the opening hours as follows;

Shuttle bus service will start at 10:30 a.m. and run every 15 minutes thereafter.

At around 2pm on June 7th, we confirmed that a large number of unspecified individuals were sent spam emails misusing our email address. We only send emails directly to individuals, and not to large unspecified groups of people.

If you receive any emails from our email address (mazdamuseum@mazda.co.jp) that you do not recognize, please promptly delete them.

Please note that we are making changes to bookings for Saturday Open Day visits.

Bookings for Saturday Open Day in July and thereafter will be accepted from the 1st day of the month prior to the month in which the Saturday Open Day is held.

We will start accepting general reservations from 9:00 am on May 16, 2022 (Monday).

You are welcome to visit the museum from May 23 (Monday). Please come and see the newly refurbished Mazda Museum.

The museum will also be open on Saturday, June 11.

The Mazda Museum will reopen in 2022 following renovations.

Prior to the reopening, we created a new Mazda Museum official website.

At the Mazda Virtual Museum, you can take a short tour of the renovated museum and view some vehicles on display.
