The 700,000th Mazda Roadster (MX-5) rolled off the manufacturing line 14 years and 11 months after production began in April 1989. This earned the Roadster a world record as the sports car with the highest number of units produced in its class. The 700,000th model was a North American specification Mazdaspeed MX-5 with a 1,800cc engine, a turbocharger and Velocity Red Mica body paint. |
