③Lecture Content

From eSPORTS to Real Racing――.

In 2021, Mazda launched its new motorsports brand, “MAZDA SPIRIT RACING.”

Its slogan is “Challenge Together.” It aims to support all challengers and jointly create a motorsports culture that many people can enjoy.

Starting in 2022, the challenge program “The Path from Virtual to Real” began.

It offers players who achieve outstanding results in eSPORTS tournaments the opportunity to challenge themselves in real-world racing.

Believing that skills and concentration honed virtually can translate to the real world, MAZDA SPIRIT RACING evaluates performance and attitude, providing opportunities for real-circuit driving experiences and race participation.

In this lecture, we will introduce the activities of the Challenge Program alongside Kengo Goto, who oversees the program, and driver Tatsuhiko Kato, who made his racing debut as a first-year participant.

Alongside this, we will also hold a driving instruction demonstration and a rock-paper-scissors tournament.

Let's make a mini MX-5 using plastic injection molding and paint it!

1
1

This is Mazda's material recycling experience, where waste plastic generated during car manufacturing (such as used bumpers) is finely crushed and utilized not as “trash” but as “raw material.”

Using the same injection molding technology as actual automotive parts (like bumpers), you can create your very own one-of-a-kind mini roadster.

You will experience the process of placing the crushed waste plastic into an injection molding machine and forming it.

Furthermore, you will also experience painting your finished mini Roadster.

Finishing it with your own hands allows you to deeply feel the joy of creation and the satisfaction of completion.

Mazda values the harmony between loving driving and loving the planet. Learn more about our environmental initiatives here.
