Microalgae absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere as they grow, making fuel derived from them carbon-neutral. Even when CO₂ is emitted during driving, it doesn't add to atmospheric levels. After fuel extraction, the remaining residue can be repurposed as health food products and organic fertilizers, contributing to a recycling-oriented society.

Mazda has also introduced groundbreaking technology to the vehicle itself: CO₂ capture technology. By running on carbon-neutral fuel and equipping the vehicle with Mazda Mobile Carbon Capture, technology that pulls CO₂ directly from exhaust, we can help reduce atmospheric CO₂ the more we drive. This represents a new challenge that leverages the strengths of internal combustion engines.

The vehicle is powered by a plug-in hybrid system integrating a two-rotor rotary turbo engine with a motor and battery. With a maximum output of 510 PS, the vehicle offers a cruising range of 160 km in motor-only mode, extended up to 800 km when operating in combination with the engine.
