 ZONE 1 (1920–1959)

The Origins of Our Manufacturing Spirit

In this zone, we trace the history of passion and challenge embodied by Mazda’s founder, Jujiro Matsuda.

Beginning his journey as a blacksmith's apprentice at the age of 13, Jujiro honed his craft across Japan. Despite the immense hardships following the atomic bombing, he dedicated himself to the reconstruction of Hiroshima and the advancement of industry, driven by his vision to "contribute to the world through manufacturing."

Jujiro’s passion and indomitable spirit remain unchanged even after 100 years, living on today as a vital part of Mazda’s DNA.

 ZONE 2–3(1960–1985)

Stepping Forward as a Comprehensive Automaker

Note: Display vehicles are subject to change.

In this zone, you can see the iconic cars from the era when Mazda experienced significant growth. The driving force behind Mazda's vehicle manufacturing was the desire to "enrich people's lives by making automobiles accessible to everyone."

 ZONE4

Challenging the World with Corporate and Technological Prestige

Mazda began its journey into the world of motorsports in the 1960s.

In this zone, the actual "Mazda 787B"—the legendary winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans—is on display. Visitors can also experience the distinctive roar of the rotary engine through a high-fidelity 3D surround sound system.

Furthermore, we introduce Mazda’s ongoing commitment to motorsports, a passion that continues to this day.

ZONE 5–6 (1986–2009)

Expansionist Strategy and a New Brand Direction

Note: Display vehicles are subject to change.

In this zone, you can see a variety of iconic cars born from our unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.

In the late 1980s, Mazda pursued the creation of highly distinctive vehicles. However, following the collapse of the bubble economy, the company faced a severe management crisis. Overcoming these numerous trials, Mazda rediscovered its true direction and began developing vehicles that embody the "Celebrate Driving" philosophy (Jinba-ittai).

ZONE 7 (2010~)

Technologies and Design to Create the World’s Finest Vehicles

In this zone, we introduce the philosophy behind Mazda’s vehicle manufacturing, which has continued to evolve since 2010.

Mazda’s ultimate goal is to create the world’s finest vehicles.

To achieve this, we developed "SKYACTIV" technology—which pursues Mazda's signature "Celebrate Driving" experience while ensuring superior environmental and safety performance—alongside our "KODO: Soul of Motion" design, which captures beauty full of vitality.

ZONE8

Human-Centric Manufacturing: The Spirit of Monozukuri

In this zone, we introduce the craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence—what we call "Monozukuri"—that Mazda continues to refine through a company-wide, unified effort.

"Monozukuri means thinking of the people who use the product."

Mazda will continue to believe in the inherent value of automobiles and remain committed to Monozukuri that moves the heart.

ZONE9

Where Your Car Comes to Life

In this zone, you will step inside an actual assembly plant to witness each customer's vehicle being meticulously crafted by skilled hands.

The seamless coordination between people and machinery, working with precision and efficiency to build each car, is the essence of Mazda’s Monozukuri. We invite you to observe a part of our manufacturing process, where both high quality and efficiency are achieved. You can also view our dedicated shipping port, where vehicles are loaded for delivery.

Note: The assembly line may be stopped due to production schedules. Thank you for your understanding.

Note: Photography is strictly prohibited in ZONE 9.

ZONE10

Car as Art

At Mazda, we view the automobile not merely as a mode of transportation, but as a form of art. In this area, you can experience Mazda’s next-generation design, which incorporates a distinctively Japanese sense of aesthetics.

EPILOGUE

Toward the Next 100 Years

Why do we pour so much passion into creating automobiles? It is because of our unwavering vision and heart, a spirit that has been passed down since our very beginning.

Our challenge continues as we look toward a future where people can live their lives with positivity and vitality.
