MX-5 Fiesta in Karuizawa
Brings Together 1,300 Roadsters

On May 25, 2014, a giant parking area in Karuizawa, a Japanese mountain resort, turned into a beehive of bonhomie swarming with more than a thousand MX-5 owners coming from across Japan with their cars.

The Karuizawa Meeting 2014 brought together 1,300 MX-5s, the largest ever number for this annual fiesta, and 2,500 participants, including owners and others, also a record high.
One owner arrived at the venue after a journey of more than 800 kilometers that took as long as 12 hours.

A group of owners boasting to each other about their customization achievements. A couple of a man and woman brought together through their love for the MX-5 mingling with their fellow MX-5 buffs. MX-5s of the same color arranged in a neat row. This melting pot of MX-5s and owners was buzzing with activity and bubbling with excitement.

“When I first rode an MX-5, I felt ‘this is the car of my life,’ one owner said with a beaming smile. “Since then, I have stuck with the MX-5 for 22 years. I have been joining this event for more than 20 years.”
This was a day when we were exposed to the pleasure of owners and energized by their enthusiasm.
