Providing economic and moral support for children through exchanges

To support children and adults in communities affected by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, MST launched the Mazda Caravan Sharing Happiness project and conducted the Mazda Caravan Punsuk 2020 program in four provinces across Thailand. Using Mazda cars for transportation, employees distributed stationery, sports equipment, and scholarships in each local area.
In cooperation with Mazda dealers nationwide, MST set up "Punsuk Pantries" in front of showrooms to share daily necessities such as rice, instant food, facemasks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, medicine, etc. MST communicated with customers through social media and invited local people to join the activity by placing necessities in the pantries where people in need could access them. This support was made possible thanks to the cooperation of many people.

Through the Wheat Field Project Education Foundation, set up as a non-governmental NPO for educational support in China, MCO supports children in the Mazda Wheat Seedlings Class, which was established in 2012 to encourage "tiny seedlings to grow vigorously into golden wheat fields." In addition to the foundation's funding of school libraries and teacher training, MCO employees themselves contribute to the foundation by providing financial and moral support to children through the exchange of letters and the provision of stationery, books, and other everyday necessities.

In FY2020, in addition to the donations for living assistance and scholarships for economically deprived students and training support for teachers, MCO employees had the opportunity to interact with students through the exchange of letters and greeting cards and the presentation of gifts of books and snacks to the students. The third term program, which started in 2018 and finished in June 2021, farewelled 46 graduates of the program who went on to high schools and technical schools.
