Mazda Tokyo Office and Mazda R&D Center Yokohama have supported Mazda vehicle owners to conduct voluntary social contribution activities.
Support for the 35th and 36th Roadster Charity Flea Markets
Date: April 2 (Sunday) and October 29 (Sunday),2017
Place: Mazda R&D Center Yokohama(MRY)
Mazda provided MRY as the venue for the Roadster (MX-5 overseas) Charity Flea Markets held under the auspices of participating Mazda vehicle owners and the Company. Mazda presented a booth staffed by volunteer employees.
The number of participants totaled around 500, including 15 employee volunteers. At the Mazda booth, volunteer employees sold daily articles and Mazda merchandise gathered with the help of employees, as well as cookies made at a social service facility in the neighborhood of MRY. (A portion of the proceeds from the flea markets was used to promote exchange activities between the children in social service facilities, etc. and Mazda vehicle owners.)
Santa’s Come to Town! 2017

Place: Tokyo Station area, etc.
Organizer: Tokyo Santa Project executive committee
The project was launched at Mazda’s initiative in 2016 and is now organized jointly by 7 companies and organizations.
A total of 25 volunteers participated including Mazda vehicle owners and Mazda employees. Together with participants, the volunteers drove Mazda Roadster vehicles in Tokyo, decked out with Christmas decorations.

The project was launched at Mazda’s initiative in 2003 and is now organized jointly by 18 companies and organizations.
Around 600 volunteers participated, including Mazda vehicle owners, Mazda executive officer and Mazda employees. Mazda members were split into “driving Santa” and “visiting Santa” teams, with Mazda vehicles decked out with Christmas decorations. The driving Santas took passengers from the Single Parents and Children’s Welfare Association and orphanages in Yokohama City on a drive around the Minato Mirai 21 area. The visiting Santas paid visits to orphanages in Yokohama City, where they handed presents to children, deepening their friendly relations.
