1. Domestic Production
The domestic production volume for October 2008 exceeded the figure for October 2007 by 2.0% due to increased production of the Mazda3 (known as the Axela in Japan), Mazda2 (known as the Demio) and Mazda6 (known as the Atenza) and other models.

Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.9% (down 0.4 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share (up 0.1 points year-on-year) of the micro-mini segment and a 4.1% total market share (down 0.4% points year-on-year).

October 2008 exports exceeded the volume for the same month last year, up 1.9% year-on-year, mainly due to increased shipments of the Mazda2, Mazda3, and Mazda5.
On a market basis, while export volume to North America fell 16.7% compared to the same month last year, the export figures for Europe and other markets (Asia, the Middle East and Africa) increased over the figures from October 2007.
