Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective June 1, 2012.

1. Organizational Changes

Aims

• To speed up the decision-making process, optimize organizational efficiency and broaden the scope in which employees can be successful in order to steadily implement Mazda's Structural Reform Plans through expanding the scope of departments and divisions.

Details of organizational changes

(1) Changes in the area of China Business

• The functions of China Administration Dept. and some functions of the China Sales Dept. have been transferred to the direct oversight of the China Business Div.
• The China Planning & Finance Dept. and China Sales Dept. have been consolidated and reorganized to form the China Business Dept. No. 1 and China Business Dept. No. 2.
• In line with the above changes, the China Administration Dept., China Planning & Finance Dept. and China Sales Dept. have been eliminated.

(2) Changes in the area of Domestic Business

• Some functions of the Domestic Business Development Dept. and the Dealer Back-office Support Dept. have been consolidated to the newly formed Business Development Dept.
• Some functions of the Domestic Business Development Dept., Sales Planning Dept. and Sales Development Dept. have been consolidated to the newly formed Brand Promotion Dept.
• Some functions of the Sales Planning Dept., Non-New-Vehicle Profit Planning Dept. and Dealer Back-office Support Dept. have been transferred to the Sales Development Dept. and the Sales Development Dept. has been reorganized.
• Some functions of the Sales Planning Dept., Non-New-Vehicle Profit Planning Dept. and Dealer Back-office Support Dept. and the functions of the Regional Sales Dept. No. 1, Regional Sales Dept. No. 2 and Regional Sales Dept. No. 3 have been consolidated to the newly formed Franchised-dealership Support Dept.
• In line with the above changes, the Domestic Business Development Dept., Sales Planning Dept., Non-New-Vehicle Profit Planning Dept., Dealer Back-office Support Dept., Regional Sales Dept. No. 1, Regional Sales Dept. No. 2, and Regional Sales Dept. No. 3 have been eliminated.

(3) Changes in the areas of Customer Service and Production Control & Logistics

• The functions of the Customer Service HR Planning & Administration Dept. and some functions of the Domestic Parts & Service Marketing Dept. have been transferred and consolidated to the Customer Service Business Development Dept.
• Some functions of the Domestic Parts & Service Marketing Dept. and the functions of Overseas Parts & Service Marketing Dept. have been consolidated to the newly formed Customer Service Marketing Dept.
• The Global Supply Chain Management Dept. has been transferred to the Production Control & Logistics Div.
• In line with the above changes, the Customer Service HR Planning & Administration Dept., Domestic Parts & Service Marketing Dept. and Overseas Parts & Service Marketing Dept. have been eliminated.

(4) Changes in the areas of Quality, Hiroshima Plant, Hofu Plant and Production Engineering

• Some functions of the Quality Assurance Dept., Supplier Quality Dept., Hiroshima Inspection Dept. and Hofu Inspection Dept. have been transferred and consolidated to the newly formed Quality Engineering Dept.
• The Product Quality Dept. has been renamed the Field Quality Dept.
• Some functions of the Supplier Quality Dept. have been transferred to the Quality Engineering Dept.; the Vehicle Production Dept. No. 1, Hiroshima Plant; and the Vehicle Production Dept. No. 4, Hofu Plant.
• Some functions of the Hiroshima Inspection Dept. have been transferred to the Quality Assurance Dept.; the Powertrain Production Dept. No.2, Hiroshima Plant; the Vehicle Production Dept. No. 1, Hiroshima Plant; and the Painting, Trim & Final Assembly Engineering Dept. of Production Engineering Div.
• Some functions of the Hofu Inspection Dept. have been transferred to the Quality Assurance Dept., the Powertrain Production Dept. No. 4 and the Vehicle Production Dept. No. 4, Hofu Plant.
• In line with the above changes, the Supplier Quality Dept., Hiroshima Inspection Dept. and Hofu Inspection Dept. have been eliminated.
