1. Domestic Production

(1) March 2011

Mazda's total domestic production volume in March 2011 decreased 53.6% compared to March 2010 due to reduced production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda3 (Axela):  14,898 units (down 56.1% year-on-year)
Mazda2 (Demio):  6,909 units (down 56.3% year-on-year)
CX-7:  5,283 units (down 29.0% year-on-year)

 

(2) April 2010 through March 2011

Mazda's domestic production volume in the period from April 2010 through March 2011 increased 4.7% year-on-year due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda3 (Axela):  363,327 units (up 1.7% year-on-year)
CX-7:  91,739 units (up 67.8% year-on-year)
Mazda5 (Premacy):  81,282 units (up 8.6% year-on-year)

 

2. Overseas Production
(1) March 2011

Posting a year-on-year increase for the 22nd consecutive month, Mazda's overseas production volume in March 2011 improved 14.5% on March 2010, reflecting healthy production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

(2) April 2010 through March 2011

Posting a second consecutive year-on-year increase, Mazda's total overseas production volume in the period from April 2010 through March 2011 increased 30.1% year-on-year, due to increased production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda's total domestic sales volume in March 2011 decreased 34.9% compared to March 2010 due to reduced sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.5% (unchanged year-on-year), with a 3.2% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.2 points year-on-year) and a 4.7% total market share (unchanged year-on-year).

Mazda2 (Demio):  6,375 units (down 35.2% year-on-year)
AZ Wagon:  2,615 units (down 27.6% year-on-year)
Mazda5 (Premacy):  2,351 units (down 16.7% year-on-year)

 

(2) April 2010 through March 2011

Mazda's total domestic sales volume in the period from April 2010 through March 2011 decreased 6.8% year-on-year due to reduced sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 5.3% (down 0.1 points year-on-year), with a 2.9% share of the micro-mini segment (unchanged year-on-year) and a 4.5% total market share (unchanged year-on-year).

Mazda5 (Premacy):  25,159 units (up 41.9% year-on-year)
