Mazda Production and Sales Results for November 2009 (Flash Report)

Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for November 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in November 2009 decreased 5.3% compared to November 2008.

Mazda3 (Axela):  31,528 units (up 10.8% year-on-year)
Mazda2 (Demio):  14,908 units (down 18.9% year-on-year)

 

2. Overseas Production
Posting a year-on-year increase for the sixth consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in November 2009 improved 8.6% on the prior year, reflecting healthy production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda6:  10,928 units (down 19.6% year-on-year)
Mazda3:  5,278 units (up 75.5% year-on-year)

In November 2009, Mazda’s domestic sales volume increased year-on-year for the second consecutive month, growing 16.4% compared to November 2008 due to increased sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 4.0% (down 0.5 points year-on-year), with a 2.8% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 3.6% total market share (down 0.1 points year-on-year).

Mazda2 (Demio):  4,157 units (up 22.7% year-on-year)
Mazda3 (Axela):  2,420 units (up 194.8% year-on-year)
