1. Domestic Production
The domestic production volume for April 2008 increased 23.1% over the same month last year due to additional production of the Mazda2 (known as the Mazda Demio in Japan) for the European market and increased production of the Mazda6 (Atenza), CX-7 and other models.

Domestic sales exceeded the figure for the same month last year, up 1.8% over April 2007, mainly due to brisk sales of the Mazda2 (Demio), Mazda6 (Atenza) and RX-8.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.4%, down 0.1 points, with a 2.6% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.2 points) and a 4.4 % total market share, unchanged from April 2007.
