HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes as follows, effective May 1, 2007.
1. Organizational Changes
(1) China business changes
Goals

Eliminate the China Vehicle Plant Launch Office and the China Powertrain Plant Launch Office because the Nanjing engine and vehicle manufacturing plants have reached the final stages of construction. |

(2) R&D changes
Goals

Consolidate the R&D resource management functions to enable more efficient management of resources. |

Integrate the planning and control functions for the R&D equipment and data systems to enable more efficient use of equipment. |

Functions of the R&D Administration Innovation Dept. have been transferred to the Program Control & Administration Dept., the MDI & MPDS Planning & Development Dept. and the R&D Technical Administration Div. |

(3) Program management changes

Integrate the work of four program offices in the program management area into three Program Management Offices to enhance internal coordination and improve business efficiency. |
