Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational
and personnel changes which are effective January 1, 2007.
1. Organizational Changes
These organizational changes are aimed at strengthening Mazda’s
personnel and labor initiatives from a global perspective through improved
services in the personnel and human development departments. This is
to be achieved by further developing the abilities of managers and staff
members and how they are utilized within Mazda, while also working at
improving levels of job satisfaction.
Mazda’s Executive Officer and General Manager of the Human Resources
Division, Minoru Mitsuda, said, “These organizational changes have
the goals of strengthening our strategic planning functions for the future
and for the global development of personnel and labor. Fundamental to
these changes is the desire to maximize the potential of our human resources
and provide an even better working environment for our employees.”
Mazda announced that ‘leveraging human resources’ was one
of the key measures of its Mazda Momentum midterm management plan, and
it has been moving forward with infrastructure improvements. The company
is actively developing its middle management ranks and fostering the
development of its next generation of leaders. These changes are one
of a series of efforts aimed at human resources development from a global
