Passenger Cars 22,860 +18.6 207,409 -11.3

(1) December 2005
Overseas production decreased by 2.1% in December 2005, for the first time in two months since October 2005. While the output volume of Mazda6's bound for the US and China increased, this was offset by a decrease in commercial vehicle production. Major destinations were the US (9,600 units, increase of 23.1% compared to December 2004) and China (8,780 units; year-on-year increase of 23.5%).
(2) January through December 2005
For this period, overseas production figures decreased by 10.9%, the first decrease in four years since 2001. While the output volume of Mazda3's bound for Taiwan increased, production adjustments for US-bound Mazda6's (a decrease of 21.3% year-on-year) and a decrease in production of the Titan series for India (decreased by 39.2%) caused an overall decrease compared to the prior year.
