The "7's Meeting 2007" event for all RX-7 owners was held on Sunday, July 8 at the Central Circuit in Hyogo Prefecture.
To commemorate the 40th birthday of Mazda's rotary engine, the Mazda Museum at the company's headquarters is holding a special exhibition entitled, "40th Anniversary: Rotary Engine".
The event was titled, "The Rotary Engine: Past, Present and Future". It took place at Mazda's R&D center in Yokohama, near Tokyo.
The Mazda 110S, known as the Cosmo Sport in Japan, went on sale on May 30, 1967. In 2007, May 30 marked the 40th anniversary of the birth of the rotary engine. To commemorate this, members of the Cosmo Sport Owners Club gathered at Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima.
