Safety technologies to support your safe driving
Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE is an umbrella term covering a series of advanced safety technologies which make use of detection devices such as milliwave radars and cameras. They includes active safety technologies that support safe driving by helping the driver to recognize potential hazards, and pre-crash safety technologies which help to avert collisions or reduce their severity in situations where they cannot be avoided.
Active Safety Technology (Helping prevent accidents from occurring)
Points the low-beam headlights in the direction the you steer.
Automatically switches headlights between high and low beams to help you drive more comfortably and safely.
Automatically controls vehicle speed to maintain the distance to the car ahead.
Alerts the driver to vehicles approaching on either side from the rear during highway driving.
Detects lane markings on the road surface and warns the driver of imminent unintentional lane departures.
Helps the driver avoid hazards by sounding an alarm when there is a risk of collision.
Pre-Crash Safety Technology (Reducing the risk of an accident)
Helps the driver avoid frontal collisions and reduce the damage resulting from an accident.
* The Active and Pre-Crash Safety Technologies identified here are designed to reduce damage and/or injuries resulting from accidents. However each system has its limitations, and no safety system or combination of such systems can prevent all accidents. These systems are not a replacement for safe and attentive driving. Please drive carefully at all times and do not rely on technology to prevent an accident. Not all of these systems are available on all models or in all markets, so please contact your local Mazda dealer for details on availability. Please refer to your owners' manual for additional important system details, limitations and warnings.
