| Environmental Protection | Developing Technologies for the Next Generation: I'd like to know more details including the future outlook. (Shareholder and investor, male, 60s) |
In the Mazda Green Plan 2020, the Company's mid-term environmental plan established/released in FY March 2012, Mazda set targets for environmental protection for 2020 and the next fiscal year. By adopting the PDCA cycle of following up on the results of activities, Mazda aims to effectively reduce the environmental burden. As for the development of environmentally friendly vehicles, Mazda believes that it is necessary to prepare multiple solutions, taking into consideration various regional, vehicle and fuel characteristics. The Company is also promoting the Building-Block strategy to gradually achieve practical application of electric device technologies. |
| I hope Mazda will more actively promote the development of electric vehicles and other environmentally friendly vehicles. (Student, male, 20s) |
||
| Social Contributions | I think there should be more activities to encourage involvement by elementary/junior high school children, who are the leaders of the next generation. (Person in charge of corporate/group CSR/environmental activities, male, over 80) |
Mazda promotes activities that are strongly rooted in local communities. Its social contribution activities are underpinned by the three pillars of environmental and safety performance, human resources development, and community contributions. For human resources development, in particular, the Company holds various unique events such as the Mazda Car Carrier Loading Field Trip and Social Studies Support and Training Seminar. The Company also supports overseas activities tailored to the needs of local communities at each region. |
| I think the Company should increase its social contribution activities at the grass-roots level. (Employee of a Group company, female, 40s) |
||
| Respect for People | I want to know more about the opinions of the people who are actually at the workplaces (Student, male, 20s) |
To present the employees' opinions and their specific initiatives, their voices are provided in all six sections including the Respect for People section. Interviews with employees are also presented in "Special Feature" and "CLOSE UP" to describe Mazda's attitudes and principles. |
| Other | I hope reference pages are displayed so that the necessary information can be easier to search. (Other, male,70s) |
A search box was newly set up for the CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) page of the Mazda Global Website, enabling readers to search from Keywords, the CSR Site Map, GRI/ISO 26000 and Booklet pages. Also, the digest version was substantially downsized (60 pages → 24 pages) to focus on the contents that the Company is especially keen to communicate to readers. |
| I think it would be more effective to focus on fewer topics. (Employee of the Group, female, 40s) |
