With our safety policy, we are proceeding with research and development aimed at achieving levels of car safety that surpass global standards. We develop safety technologies from multiple viewpoints, including passive and active safety technologies. Passive safety technologies mitigate harm to occupants in accidents, and active safety technologies—epitomized by the prototype Mazda Pre-Crash Safety System—seek to prevent traffic accidents.
